sup guys!

Had a new addition to the family few months back(baby boy!), so I had to shut down my tank..

thought I wasnt going to start back up but here we go again.. lol couldnt get away from it..

I love the way the tank looks. SOOO clean!

Tank Specs:

cad 50g 24x24x20
Sump
24" T5 Lights
Black Stand

Just a quick picture from my cell phone. I'll upload more later on.

Finished all the plumbing last night.

ro/di is working hard to make me lots of water!

Probably upgrade the return pump to quietone 3000 later on.

Ordering rocks from BRS. Not sure what would be a sufficient amount for this tank, dont want too much or too little. 30lbs would be a good start?

wil update more later as things move along

i feel like 30 lbs is a really good start. dry rocks usually have a lot more volume compared to live rock. good luck with the new addition to the family!

Tanks been cycling since 8/4 with a piece of shrimp. Starting to get a little smelly but plenty of airflow in the front living room so smell doesnt linger around. I probably wont be picking up any live rock at the moment to assist in the cycle. Going to work this tank at a very slow pace.

The durso stand pipe is as quiet as it can be. No gurgling noise whatsoever. Draining good. Return is working fine. Had to work out some kinks but its going good.

Picked up 2 K750 pumps on Wed or so for 30bucks total, so thats been pushing my water around. Seems sufficient at the moment.

Took a few more pics with the phone..
