Since you are most familiar with this stuff.

Is there any difference with hydro fixtures vs aquarium fixtures

the color of the fixture... LOL... and i think they might be heavier since the ballast is inside the fixtures most of the time... but, hydroponics is a slightly more elite hobby... or industrial'esque... so, everything is more heavy duty built to last... not built to look good, yet not rust... LOL...

True but much more profitable

not if you do hydroponics the way it was intended... to grow vegetables and chili pepper plants indoors....

LOL...

i gro orchids hydroponically... but i use a lot of nutrients for my chili plants... and orchids...

economy... growing plants in your home is probably more expensive than keeping a reef tank now and days...
Really? Idk anything about this stuff but I would find it surprising if that's true...

Thanks Evan! I want sure if R2 was a brand or a website or what. Thanks for the link!

i bought mine from a website that sold them in a strip, theres like 40~50 1w leds...and the driver is adjustable...wish i remembered the name of the site...i payed like $40
I wish you remembered too! Think.... ;)

Depends on what you're growing... We all know what you would be/are growing ;)

color of the actual fixture, not bulbs... they're usually white or brushed alluminum/red steal...

Growing the wrong greens.
At least u know what u are eating
And don't have to buy it at market though.

Of course switch out the bulbs.

I keep finding them on Craigslist for cheap!

I found a 8 bulb for around 100$ 2 switches?!

Why don't more people use them

The t5s at DTF are for hydroponics, David said that one of the wholesalers use them over their tanks.
