Hi I just recently got into this amazing saltwater reef aquarium hobby. My wife thinks I love my tank more than her (pretty close). Anyways, I started out with some corals and after research saw the importance of a protein skimmer. My 75 gallon tank unfortunately doesnt have an overflow, if I would have known I would have added it. So I bought the CPR Bak-Pak Dual Pak 2 Protein Skimmer. It's been about 10 days now and I am still having an extreme amount of "micro bubbles". Its super annoying. The directions says 2-3 days after break in period. I am wondering if anyone has ever used this product before with similar issues..? Its supposed to be one of the better HOB skimmers, but seems wierd that the out valves are above the water line in the tank, producing more bubbles. Let me know what you think..! Heres the website if you arent familiar with CPR Aquatics. The camera didnt get it all, but you can see some of the bubbles on the top right side of the tank. Thank you

Since you are in SD I would also join the forum there and ask of anyone has any chaetto. Most of us are in LA/OC but we do have a few SD and SB guys. Hopefully they will chime in.

Those HOB are a pain. I have straight horror stories of them dripping slowly 20% of my tanks volume into the living room. Epic
