Most people just want the male, they are more colorful. Put your name on the list at some LFS & you can get one for $500-550 in a month or two. you might need to put some $ down, and when they call back dont change your mind or they will not help you out again.
The less colorful female is more rare because they are less collected. Most people who want a female already have a male & I dont know how well this fish accepts a new mate.
