There were 2 events in a year.....RAP and MAX. Whatever happened to Max ? I missed the mermaid....ha ha
I think the guy who ran MAX went off on some vendors who didn’t want to do his show anymore and then it all went downhill from there.

I was at the first RAP when it was in marks backyard. If you can find the old pics my wife was the blonde girl wearing the hot pink tank top.

It was hosted in Marks backyard 2 or 3 times that i know of the in the Marine Depot parking lot in Anaheim for 2 or 3 years before Marine Depot moved to Garden Grove, where I believe it was held once. Then to the OC fair grounds for a few years and finally to the hotels near the convention center for 3 years so far I believe. So I am guessing I have gone about 19 times. I have only been to the local ones so far.

From my experience, I remembered it being at Marine Depot and I Won one of the raffled items which was a JBJ chiller. During the event, I met the woman Katie and she express her obsessions for watchman gobies. (I believe that was her name). Also Anthony Calfo had a demo of propagating corals off to the side.... It was a fun day filled with laughter, plenty of sunlight and great place to chat about new tank ideas. Vendors would have clear containers of corals covered in slime...but it great for the local hobbyist. Now, I just have to make sure that I'm not working to catch the next show.

It used to feel like a community event...now it's taken on a national event. A lot more vendors and speakers which allows more exposure to upcoming trends and ideas/secrets.

I was at the first MAX show, pretty cool. Also went to a show in Ontario near the airport but I don’t remember the name of it
