cycle question

i have 120 gal display tank 3yrs .now i setup another 45gal just anemones/clown i used dry sand . but rock/water from display tank
DO I NEED TO CYCLE ?

You may go through a rather small and non dramatic duke and your nitrates might be a little elevated, but your established rock will definately help.

Dry sand will raise ur phosphates.. happened to me ..no bueno

used water has no effect on the cycle... 99% of the bacteria are in the sand and rock.
you will have to cycle, and to speed it up, you can dose Microbacter 7. works great
