I'm going to take the plunge and frag a couple of LPS colonies I have (a chalice and some favias). I'm using a dremel with a 1.5" diamond wheel. Do I need to dip the frags or the mother colony in anything (ie Lugols) once I'm done cutting?

Yes you would want to. Since the heat from the dremel can, not saying it will but it can cause some serious damage.. Not to scare you or anything..

When I frag my lps I do a revive once cut then lugols after I've glued them to a disc.. Not too long in each either.. HTH

Good Luck! :)

Thanks! Fortunately, I'm only making a few cuts that should be pretty quick, so heat shouldn't be too much of an issue.
