Went there today and picked up a good amount of stuff, including a pink millepora colony, blue and green acro frags, as well as a green birdsnest frag. For me it was well worth the drive. If I had more cash I would have gotten more colonies and a large clam(can't remember if it was a Squamosa or a Maxima), lol.
Wwwwwwwoooooowwwww that's a huge news for me .... I've never thought about that of him with corals .... I say that cuz I've been buying corals from him for quite a while and had no problems with my corals so far... Maybe cuz I put them in a QT first and then in my display ... And about the roaches that's true I've seen them my self too and yes I have seen some dead fish here and there and when I do I tell him right away before anything happens thru of the whole set ups ...

Normally I would'nt be compelled to completely condradict someones post, but Evanski9 your post is absolutely ridiculous! First of all let me say that in my opinion you are nothing but a disgruntled, naive employee who was fired from Discount tropical Fish and now want some sort of revenge. Only you dont deserve revenge when the reasons you were fired were legitimate. What do you hope to gain by falsely misrepresenting this company and the owners? I have been a customer there for more than 6 years. I have also driven to almost every other store within a 100 mile radius and no other establishment has even come close to the low prices and selection that they have. And NO people the prices aren't low because everything is sick or diseased. It's a given than in this hobby some items or fish you may buy will have problems, that is because they come from the WILD and that can't be controlled at all times. If he wants to assassinate the character of the owners that just is completely wrong. My family and I have have enjoyed going there for all these years and have always been treated extremely nicely from the owners. Never has my credit card been charged for something more than what I paid for. The only problems I've ever noticed is obviously they sometimes hire lazy employees who get mad when thye are fired for always being in the back of the store texting and smoking during work hours. I have nothing to gain by this post as I am just a satisfied customer and don't appreciate lies and misinformation being posted for no other reason than an employee that just didn't work out.
Now let me clarify this **** up. First of all. I never stole. And didn't work their for a week. So your wrong. And I never dumped meds in the tank. I did text. I admit. So don't go and post bs. I tried my best to help and offered everything I had. And a lot of people can vouch for me. I did smoke in the back. When no one is their. I would like to know how you could make up lies saying I did all this stuff. I would smoke with. Other employees. I never got the respect. I was a punk kid to them. That's fine. I love discount tropical. I mean I worked for corals basically. I was never lazy. Either worked the hardest their. So please let's not make crap up.
