DIY: Macro Algae Reactor

I have never been able to grow chaeto. I have a small hang on fuge with a small amount. It will never grow. I run a high nutrient tank and Im truly baffled as to why it never grows

Has running a reactor affected your other macro from growing? I have a fuge with macro now, wondering if I run this also would out compete for nutients

Anyone use these reactors to grow ogo?

Btw, tangs arent the only ones that love ogo- people are eating a lot of ogo salad!

Was thinking of doing this a a algae scrubber. Now I'm not sure which way to go. Thank you for the post and great idea

That's actually my plan. I'm going to convert all my algae to Ogo or Sea Lettuce.

I got a buddy that farms them in FL. He can ship me up to 15 lbs per box. PM me if anyone wants in.

And No, you can't mix with Chaeto, they release some sort of toxin that kills off other macro algae. I've personally experienced it.
