Dorkymk3 & Geraldiism's New 150g Mixed Reef Tank Build.

This build started with Socal562 Mike from Carson tropical fish giving us a free Oak tank stand. Tank stand measures 61x30x40, it was time to retire Gerald's 160g 84x18x24 and go with a more reef friendly tank. So far its going to be 1 side view somewhat through the wall build. We acquired a 150g 5x2x2 Acrylic with center trapezoid overflow for a good deal from a fellow reefer. It has 2x 1.25" holes for drain and 2x 3/4" holes for return.

Advance Acrylic 15g 15x15x15 frag tank
DIY 15g 24x12x12 refugium

JBJ 1/3 hp Artic Chiller
Mag12 for return to DT
Mag9 for Frag/Chiller/Refugium
Reef octopus xs200 protein skimmer
300w Eheim Jager heater

Tunze 6215 wave box
Tunze 6095 x's 2 nanostreams running on 24v only at 30% anything more than 40% causes massive sand storm.
Tunze 7096 pump controller

Lighting (still deciding) Most likely transfer the light setup from the 160g which is a Coral Vue Outer Orbit
2x 250w HQI with pheonix 14k bulbs and remove the 4x96w PC and replace them with a DIY 48x3w Royal Blue LED

Still need to finish the cabinet furniture and Build the upper canopy and crown molding the sides.To make the tank look like its build into the wall.

Just made the purchase from Rapid LED, Got 2x 24 3w Cree RB LEDs with 48" heatsink. Going to replace the 4x96w power compact in the Orbit Fixture.

quick updates, live stock are now in the tank. rock just recently added still going to work on the rock scape slightly more. Hamilton Technology 48" Cebu fixture 2x250w Radiums 20k, 4x54w t5 Wave Point Reef Wave and Purple Wave, 24x3w Bridgelux royal blue and UV, 24x3w Cree XT-E Royal Blue, TruLumen 48" 420mm leds for moon light. Also upgrade to larger frag tank and updated plumbing.

Recent shot of the tank and its final Aquascape..... corals have been epoxied to the rocks. Now its just the waiting very patient game and let things grow.

Cleaned up my frag tank and made more frags from the mini colonies i have..... Things I need to replenish that I lost from being lazy, Candy Apple Reds, Sunny D's, BBEB, Rastas, Blue Rhinos, Pink Elephants, Darth Mauls....

Lost a few collectors zoa's and some sps slightly browned out from a bad Alk swing..... but everything is back on track and recovering very well. RBTA Island is insane! Have to see in person because pictures dont do justice.

What are the white PVC cylinders you have coming off the drains before it enters the sump?

Those are unions to disconnect plumbing and do routine cleaning when needed

Just a quick update. Tank is still up but had a bad crash 6months ago and lost 70% of all SPS and softies. Slowly getting the tank stable again.
