what would be a good sps coral to start off with that would grow fairly quickly and has a good color to it, either nice neon green, a blue or red, maybe pink.....

I have lots of cool beginner SPS frags ready to go, from $5 and up (with a few free, too). I would also suggest a monti of some sort-monti caps and monti digis are both super hardy and have great color. I have a few frags of the ORA monti spongedes, my favorite monti, which is hardy, has awesome color, an even more awesome growth pattern and is quite a fast grower.

let me know if you're interested in some frags. I could make a beginner frag pack if you'd like.

My Green Slimmer has survived everything in my tank while many other SPS have died

Most any cap, birdsnets, pocci. You mentioned green, I would get some Green Slimer, its a fast grower.

If by chance you live in the High Desert, I would give you a bunch of cap, ORA green pocci and green slimer for free.

well i should have put down, i do already have a monti cap and it has grown crazy like! and a have another small sps frag that i had about 3 branches of and it has like 16 or so now, it got alot bigger then when i had originally got it but thats still a frag..........

to answer some questions, i am looking to spend like $100-150 shipped max, somewhere around there would be ideal, also i am kinda hoping to get mini colonies or larger frags so that it makes a visual difference immediatly instead of having it take a long time.....

colonies will have a harder time adapting... switching tanks for a colony can kill it much easier than a frag. Best is to grow out from frags/small colonies.
