Is there a difference between Rio 2500 and a Rio 2500+? My return pump at 1 point was the Rio 2500+ for over a year. I still use it when I clean the tunze return pump. I'm scared to use it now specially I just dropped it to the ground recently

I have a small setosa frag if you want it. Let me know.
thank you bean. Right now I have to wait for my tank to stabalize. Looks like the new coral I put in yesterday aren't going to make it. Waste of moola I Dont have. Lol.

Ideal range
Alk 8-9
Cal 440-470
Mag 1350-1500

pH shouldn't go above 8.4

But even if you can't chase those numbers. Stability is key.

What salt mix are you using? Test Alk on your new salt mix. It's probably high on Alk. Are you dosing two-part?
I'm using instant oceN from the beginning of the start up. I didn't test my salt before adding to the system. The only thing I dose so far is turbo calcium and a few drops of Lugo's iodine. Haven't had time to make kalk for top off yet. But will be. I have. Lot of that pro buffer stuff but never learned to use it.

One thing I learn in this hobby is not to dose unless you test. Keep it simple using two-part and Mag. Dose iodine maybe a couple drops a week. lugol's iodine solution is very strong. I suggest getting your Mag to 1350 first. Then get your calcium up in the 400 range. Alk will then balance it self out and hopefully lower down to 9. Your salt mix is not too high in DkH which is good. I'm not a fan of Kalk unless you have a legit fail safe to prevent over dosing.
