Sup guys I'm new around here

I signed up a few months back but I rarely post because I'm a fan of the search function.

I'm 20 years old and I've been reefing for like the past year, although I've liked fish tanks ever since I can remember.

My current setup is a 40b with a 20L sump. It's a budget build.

I have the green element quad leds, odyssea return pump hooked up to a scwd, and a Jebo skimmer. The only nice piece of equipment I have for now is an mp10.

This tank has been setup for like 4 months but I would say its doing great.

Inhabitants include a mandarin, tiger tale seahorse, randell goby, purple firefish, lawnmower blenny, a dope clownfish, a peppermint shrimp, a skunk cleaner shrimp and various snails. I have collected quit a few corals in the few months I've been reefing ranging from Zoas/palys, montis, chalices, acros, gorgonias, and a clam.

I've had noticible growth in the few months that might tank has been setup despite it not being what most people would consider ideal.

Because of the eating habits of the mandarin and seahorse I tend to overfeed a bit, but I do believe in weekly water changes religiously. I also don't like dosing anything at this point since things are going well so far.

I started a frag tank not so long ago, but that's a different story.

Anywayyy.... This forum has been a cool place so far. I hope to join some clubs and make some friends.

Cool tank. Does the sea horse seem to mind the extra flow?

I don't think she minds the flow. The two big rock formations are pretty much caves with little flow, the back is also low flow so she hangs out there when she wants. Other times she rides the waves, its pretty cool to watch

I always wanted a seahorse just don't know how it will do in my reef tank with 2 mp40. Either way nice tank

Ya that's a lot of flow. Mp's are also pretty dangerous. I use to have two of them till one day I decided to clean the sponge on the mp10 without turning it off. Since the seahorse saw my hand by it she followed it and hitched on the pump. Her tail ended up getting caught and scraped. Sadly died a week later probably from stress. I haven't gotten another once since because I wouldn't want any more deaths, but they are definitely cool.
