I just got this guy and noticed he had ich, tried to get him to eat and he was doing ok, but woke up to him stuck to the powerhead barely alive with his eye hanging out. So i put him in a glass of vodka in a dark place to let him go to sleep.

Im super bummed out and now my wrasse and clowns have one spot each. Im gonna keep using garlic and feeding a lot. Dunno what else to do except be bummed.

1) Pick dead fish up off ground (last 7).

2) If fancy put him in the freezer

3) if common burry him around the roots of a palm tree.

if you have a qt tank, i would remove your fish and treat them with medication (especially since they have spots already). Then allow your main tank lay fallow for 6-8 weeks with no fish. Otherwise you will likely lose more fish. And it will keep reoccurring as the parasite keeps coming back.

Trudat. I quit trying to keep my tank ich-free. Too much work and even after taking every precaution, one tiny screw-up and all that work has gone to ****. So I keep a low load and keep 'em stress free.
