I came home today and saw that one of my cleaner shrimp wasn't at his post. I have two that are generally to the right of my nems. When I surveyed the tank I learned what happened.
My pink spotted goby had several long white antenna protruding from his fat mouth. Unbelievable. That guy is fed several times a day and is a fat dude. He's never done anything like that before. It was a large cleaner shrimp too! It took him about a half hour to get the antenna all the way down and afterward when I fed the tank, he still continued to eat. I wonder how well he can digest it or if he will regurgitate it.
All I saw was $$25$$ going down his gullet. :suicide2:
Anyone else have stories of unexpected predator/prey relationships in your tanks?
