FREE Blue Gorgonion

Free blue gorgonian coral. I have a cyano outbreak and I need to cut down on my feeding so this guy has to go. It's about 6 inches tall and 4 or 5 inches wide and has a little bit of cyano on it. Paid 60 for it. Pick up only.

I've always been told the blue are not photo.... You have to place a bottle around them to feed.

non-photo. I've had it in the shade to try and get the cyano off but it's not working and it's spreading all over my tank

Yes it is a no photo. I've never done the bottle, just turn off the pumps and give it some food

This is not true. I have a blue gorg that is photosynthetic

Yes Blue Gorgonian has to be fed regularly, at least three times or more per week for it to survive in the long run. Don't get it if your tank can't handle it and leave it in the wild. It is one of the most beautiful gorgonian, but unfortunately, it need to be fed regularly.

can that size of a seafan be placed inside a 30g nano? my lights are pretty intense

Most gorgonians are nonphotosynthetic so your light strength will have nothing to do with it. Technically yes you can put it in your nano but you have to feed them quite often and with the amount of water you have may give you a tough battle with nitrates etc from the food waste. hth
