Tuesday isn't over yet. if he doesn't take everything, i'll start parting out the mangroves. I hope everyone realizes the mangroves have been setting roots for over 5 years. these have a large root ball.

Exactly what I'm looking for. Planning to add it to my water monitor enclosure. :)

Save me some and I'll gladly leave a tip.

it's too late now.. but it was awesome... he has like, an outdoor tank... a hundred gallons i think... then this deep sand bed for the mangroves... just with that, he didn't need a protein skimmer...

300 gal sump iwaki 70rlt pumping water 25 ft to 300 gal DT. 1/2 hp Copeland chiller for summer and 3 300 watt heaters for winter.
Good God. How often does that chiller kick on? I want to put my sump outside. I'm planning on getting a 280 soon. I want to put a 150 gallon sump outside but I'm worried about the heat/cold. I'm in the 562 area though so it's not too big of a deal.

the chiller came on about5 or 6 times yesterday. today its much cooler. the sump is protected from the weather by a patio. there is insulation on the bottom and three sides. having the sump on the outside makes it very easy with water changes, and you aren't really limited for room if you have other equipment, the noise of all of the equipment is outside, best thing I did was to move all of the equipment outside. the most noise I have inside is the overflow. I am relying on gravity to run water from the DT to the sump. The sump is about 25 feet away from the DT. I've tried different methods of muffling the sound but I found I needed the space in the overflow box as a cushion, otherwise for some reason, the water would fill the overflow and run onto the floor
