Looks like the Sea Hare I picked up this weekend is going to finish ridding my tank of hair algae by the end of this week. This sucker is a proven hair algae eater as I just watched him take out most of the hair algae in just a couple days. I'm already attached to it and don't want to see it waste away from starvation. I'd rather he make his rounds through people here on this board that are in need of its services.

So here's the deal, its yours as long as you can provide it with proper care. When it has cleaned your tank, pass him on to another reefer in need. From what I read you gotta take your time in acclimating these guys into your tank. Drip method or what I did was slowly pour some of my tank water into the bag over a 1.5 hour period. Takes time but I just wanna make sure someone does'nt just drop it into thier tank without the proper measures. I'm also hoping that if my hair algae returns, I'll have a shot a getting it back. Hopefully that won't be the case with the new RODI unit I just purchased. Keep in mind its not the prettiest thing in the world. Looks like something that would come out of Rosie O'Donnells pooper. It's fairly large at about 6"-7".

Pickup would be this Sat morning in Redondo Beach. I'd like to give it a name so that I can track its movement on the board. Any suggestions?

PM me with any questions. It's kinda like an adoption so if you wanna post pics if its possible new home that would be great.

No takers?? Let's go people, someone here must be in need of Rosie's pooper's services. I know they are not the prettiest things out there but all of gods creatures deserve some love. I'll try and get a picture of her this afternoon.

Mine is loving my refugium, it ate all my red gracilera and now is starting on the chaeto. Been deciding to let him go or not too since don't want mine starving. Good luck finding yours a home.

Sorry people, my schedule is fairly full as I'm moving in a couple weeks and gotta take care of some errands during the day. Pickup would have to be in the morning but I'm up early so you can avoid traffic. I'm close to the 405 and 105 freeways. If nobody takes it I'm dropping it off at my LFS as they are fairly close to me.

Well I would like to take it... does it climb up on the glass. I put my tank close to my front door and window. I don't have a very sofisticated lighting so the natural sun light has been a friend of mine during the winter season. after the winter is gone my pecan tree covers the sun rays and so I depend mainly on my t5 and pc light. since the sun is on the tank I get a lot of green algae and if Rosie would help then I'll come get her. you are near me I live close to the 105 n 110 fwys. so I can pick up one evening or saturday or sunday morning.
