Both fish had an adverse reaction to V20 "soft freeze" foods. The melanurus has recovered, the Flasher may be blind for life. Both are free, I would gladly accept an SPS frag.
Both fish became very stressed due to the obvious events, and will absolutely need a QT process.
The Melanurus: eats like a pig, but hasn't taken many pellets, but she will usually try them. She's fine, but she needs a bigger home, it was always my intent to re-house her.
The Scarlet Flasher: Is straight up blind. Because he's blind, he can easily live his life out in a small Nano tank with gentle flow and a cave to lay in. he has become a bottom dweller for obvious reasons. He will perk up when he smells food, but either needs to be fed directly, or housed with fish that will not compete with him. I love the little guy but I can't setup a tank just for him, my family would not be cool with that. He could probably be happy with a cleaner goby pair. Because he doesn't swim much anymore, his metabolism has slowed and he doesn't each much, nor make much waste. He's be good in a softie/Zoo desktop aquarium probably 5+ gallons (Sounds small, but he's blind and doesn't move much).
