This place that the aquariums are coming from do not have any affiliations with us nor are they selling our products. they simply just made a similar looking tank and printed our names on the boxes (most likely originated from China). we have not given them any of our tanks and any claims that they have that they built tanks for us is a lie to deceive unsuspecting people. Our legal team is currently pursuing the matter.
as i mentioned before, all of our Artisan aquariums are built only by us here in California or in our NYC facilities all are Made in USA. any products that dont meet our standards are destroyed to prevent any chance for it reaching the user. as requested by some of the victims of the scam, we just put up a message on our 50G product page to notify and help prevent any other people from being deceived.
unfortunately there really isnt any way for anyone to know if these tanks are safe or not to use until one fails and cause someone injury. Us and many other high end tank manufacturers will usually have a long track record of building many aquariums throughout the years in order to establish the trust amongst tank purchasers and the industry. we build free standing aquariums ranging from 30G up to 8000G and have been doing so for 20 years for both Commercial and Residential applications. our Artisan aquarium line has been out for 3 years now. safety and quality is always our main concerns. rimless aquariums require much more attention and care in building as they dont have a molding brace for secondary support. many of the victims of the scam has contaced us and we have helped those concerned people with replacing their tanks with Authentic Artisan aquariums.
