I have a harlem of lyretail anthias that were eating in qt for the last month. Upon introduction to my display, the male has stopped eating. He seems interested in the food but just spit it right out. The females are eating fine. I have tried live brine, mysis, cyclopeeze with no luck. Any food you guys recommend me trying?

Nutramar OVA...all the finicky eaters that I've "trained" to eat prepped foods started first with roe. They're used to that being inert I think...and then slowly I add other stuff.

Hope that works Mike...I'm actually looking to have a harem of lyretails in my tank too. Did you add them all together? Or did you add the females first and then the male?

Omar's suggestion is good. You might also contact wickedfish to get some Wickedfeast. I've gotten all the finicky eaters to eat it and they really go nuts for it.

If you can make it to Gardena I can give you some food on the house. Look into Arctic pods (I got mine to eat it) and the OVA is a good suggestion. Lyre tails aren't that hard to get eating but sometimes you get a weirdo.
