i spoke with them and they recommend the bags why i didnt get a explanation but just put it in the bag. they are design that way. i was thinking about putting in the reactor, but you know me and them small screws.
I was just going through reviews yesterday and quite a few people plop the media bag it comes with into a reactor, which is why I was asking. I like the more lazy way anyways.

Quick update.. got home and well decoded to test my phosphates and low and behold... I'm down to 0.18 which is .04 points lower than 24 hours ago!

I'll test again tomorrow evening as well.

A nice picture for proof... maybe Hanna will use some of my pix and give me some free ish... lol

Update:
Day 3: Just tested phosphates again and no change from yesterday... phosphates are 0.18 on my Hanna phosphate checker.
Side note:
I did clean my glass about 20 minutes prior to testing(not sure if that will factor anything) will test again tomorrow and Friday.
Thanks for following

I'm debating between the Sca-301 or the Sca-302.... the 301 is rated for up to 65 gallons and the 302 is rated up to 180... but my total water volume is like 90-100

I'm planning on trying Aquamaxx Ultramaxx instead of the Chemi-pure Elite that I've been using for years. Nik, did you use anything prior to trying Ultramaxx? Anyone else made the switch from Chemi-pure?

Nothing on this tank before for phosphate... I did use a carbon bag the first month I set up my tank but its been 2 months since I took that out.
In my old nano I used the chemi pure elite... but then ended up having to use a gfo reactor...

That's what I was thinking... better to be over than under... plus I can use it on a future upgrade lol. Also I'd be able to run it on a timer

Now I have to start saving and trading/selling to get the skimmer
