My kole tang was not looking too good. She was laying on the sandbed dying. She was breathing really hard, and my blue tang started nibbling at her. Decided to just pull her out, and let her go peacefully.

Wonder what caused the death??

I have noticed recently her color hasn't been as vibrant purple. Last couple weeks she acted totally normal.

All other fish look fine and are eating. Last addition to the tank was Wyoming whites bout 2 months ago.

Bummer..... Do you still have the clown tang ? Does he stress any of the fish ?
Clowns chases my blue tang. Now that I've gotten rid of more tangs, seems like the clown is being more of a dic**k. I wanna add a yellow yang, but I'm worried about my purple going bananas. I have a powder blue chillin in my frag tank, but he's gunna chill in there for awhile before I add him.

I wouldn't try a yellow if you have a purple, way to similar....save your self some headaches... Good luck with that power blue ! one of my favorites :)

If you add more tangs its better to
Add multiple fish at the same time so they don't bunch up on one fish.

Looks like internal parasites also too me. Put a bigger tang in there than the rest and it should be fine. Also helps if you put 2 or more and diverts the attention to the one. hth

Had her for a year. Rob (Goreef) had her for 6 months.

She was a good fish. Had a little attitude, but nothin crazy. I'll be looking for another bristle tooth. Maybe a chevy. Well see

Sorry for the loss Nick. I had the same thing happen, lost my coral beauty, yellow tang, melanarus wrasse, and my sailfin tang all in 2 weeks time. At first I thought it was my new ebli angel or my brittle star. I have to the conclusion it was an internal parasite that spread to the other fish when the initial infected fish pooped (and the other fish ate the poop).

I lost my Sailfin mysteriously a month or so ago. He was always the boss of my tank and not scared of anybody including me. One day here was hiding in a rock cave and didn't come out to eat... I knew something was wrong... the next day here was having a really hard time swimming and was getting sucked towards the overflow so I took him out. I hadn't added any new fish before this since I was in CA so it had been at least 4 months. All my other fish are still doing fine. I have no idea what could've caused it. It always sucks to loose a fish. Sorry for your loss Nick
