thanks Sahn! That is an oversized turbo snail LOL. I just let my SPS run buck-wild, no trimming, fragging, etc so they totally cover the rocks and have started to overgrow each other. survival of the fastest growing like in nature.

heres an example, 3 montiporas are swirling together (green cap, purple cap & spongodes) and a staghorn acro is jocking @ 9 o'clock, a table is trying to overshadow @3 o'clock.

As per the theme of the thread, here are my Hawaiian harlequin shrimp pair, Hymenocera picta:

SLEE013 im so jealous of those crosshatches. I will get a pair someday!

Lawrence, I love the angel pairs. I would give anything for a regal angel trio like that angelmaster on RC.

MrOCCoralman, those are some nice pairs. the firefish especially fascinate me.

Lawrence, i was under the impression most acanthurus tangs come together to spawn in groups. So it never occured to me to try a harem, but possibly a shoal. I think it would be easier with small-juvi achilles tangs, but bigger tangs tend to do better, and anyway when they grow up i think its war.

Like many people, Ive had multiple yellow tangs but just assumed they tolerated each & werent really bonded. I have 3 chevron tangs of different ages right now I could try it. I almost bought 2 more black tangs but it was just too expensive to gamble in that way. If anyone on any forum, even RC, even a collection point or wholesaler, posted a shoal of gem tangs that would be hard to beat.

Lawrence, your Jedi training is complete. You are a Fish Wisperer now. As you know, i've got mostly the same stuff because I have 1 foot out the door, but here it goes:

2 pairs of flame wrasses (the harem evolved)
harem of bartlett's anthias (6 males, 4 females)
harem of sunbrust anthias (1 male, 2 females)
harem of ORA spotted mandarins (fuge: 1 male, 3 females)
harem of blue mandarins (DT: 1 male, 2 females)
pair of tank bred oscillaris clownfish in tank bred RBTA, continuously spawning in DT (RBTA keep splitting and stinging acros)
pair of tank ORA picasso clownfish in small blue saddle carpet anemone, continuously spawning in frag tank
pair of Klein's butterfly fish in fuge (aiptasia control)
pair of cleaner shrimp
pair of hawaiian harlequin shrimp in DT
pair of indo harlequin shrimp in frag tank
gang of lazy peppermint shrimp
trio of blue damsels
4 zebramosa tangs (yellow, purple, desjardini, and black tang)

acanthurus tangs I have that I will not co-habitate: achilles, PBT & sohal

still seeking: small crosshatch triggerfish pair
