Hi just wanted to take a sec to introduce myself and my tank. I'm 34 years old and always wanted a tank but every time I heard Salt water tank all I heard was that it's a lot of work and it's hard to keep. So finally I decided to get my first one, and after doing tons of research I decided to go with a 100 gallon it's 14 months old and its a full mixed reef tank under two kissel 360s and one vortech mp40. I wanted to say hi sooner but before I did I wanted to know what I was doing before I put it out there and it's been a big success. I kept it simple and just monitor mag/alk/cal/phosphate/nitrate once a week and do 15 gallon water change every 2-3 weeks for the first six month I was doing it Weekly. As for the sump I have a vertex omega 150 a refugium section and a vetex reactor running carbon and gfo in one and a 300 watt Colbolt heater. Must say tank life has been pretty good except for the wrong fish here and there.

looking good!
Are you dosing? Auto top off?
Thanks! Yes I am dosing. I use the bubble magus I only have to dose 40ml of alk daily at the current time and add just a bit of cal by hand on Fridays it drops super slow. Magnesium I check after water change and just dump what I need to bring it up to 1450 and it does not move to much if at all I use all ME products. But I also dose 10ml of red sea no remover daily just to help out and the tank looks better when I use it verses not so I keep it on but I think it might be redundant since I run gfo but I keep it on anyways. As for auto top off I use tunze and a 7 gallon container in the SUMP and i make all my own rodi and salt water that is what I believe make the tank run so smooth.
