Hello everyone quick intro my name is Mia. This is my first post sorry to come on and ask for help first thing but HELP. I have an 85g FOWLR tank 3ish months old. With a crap load of LR, stopped keeping track at 90lbs.
Paramiters:
ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 0
SG: 1.022-3
PH: 8.2
Temp: 80-81 (need a chiller still)

I have Oenone fulgida,, worms. I have been noticing that my snails keep dieing and a few fish are missing (a guppy and 2 damsel's). I was not all that concerned because my perimeters are great, so no worries stuff happens. I was just telling the owner of my LFS about it yesterday. Now in hind sight, 20/20, my puffer has become a glass surfer, nocturnal which is very strange for him and has had sand stringing off of his belly several times.

This is where I add in that this is my first saltwater tank and the only fish I have are damsels, my green spotted puffer that I have made full saltwater (Puff, my favorite fish ever!!), a juvenile Emperor angel (1 week ago) and yesterday a 6 line wrasse. OK back to the story......

So as I was dropping off my newly caught dam[n]sel talking about how I have lost two they must be with my missing guppy and asking why are my snails dieing?? Soooo this evening I was playing with my dogs out side until late I ran in to grab water and looked into my tank to see if I could see my new fish (with lights still off) I saw this long worm thing coming out from under a rock heading towards a snail. Play time over and off to mr internet I go to find out what gross thing I have and should I be worried about it. I read about and start to wonder do I have Oenone fulgida worms? So off I go to check out the snail that the worm was looking at. What I find.......another snail wiggling weirdly belly up, the 2 damsels I have left are MIA (I hope just hiding), Puff with tail, curled black belly floating around the tank bouncing off of rock, sand and glass and my new wrasse with "spider web" stuff covering him. No worms because I turned on the lights, After about 15 min Puff was doing a bit better, the original snail dead and eaten with gooy stuff all over, the two other snails alive but COVERED in snot. Now the wrasse swam away when freed but now also MIA along with both damsels but puff is ok. I am now afraid to turn off the lights so its lights on until this is over.

My conclusion...I HAVE Oenone fulgida worm infestation. I read I can make a trap, wait at night with a red light and grab them with tweezers if i am fast but i need to get him/them fast so my last thing I have found to do is break down the entire 85g tank take all of the rock out put it in soda water to get the worms.

Questions:
1. does this work?
2. do i need to worry about the sand?
3. will this kill the bacteria?
4. is this my only/best option?
5. has anyone had experience with Oenone fulgida?

I have exhausted my research ability and I am exhausted. Please help for puffs sake.

Mia
