Help!!!

I am in need of a sock....all the near by fish stores are all closed were my brother works they use something exactly like a sock but dont know if its safe to use in my tank???any one know were i can get or sock??let me know if this looks safe or i should just wait??

I use it to filter the water in my tank....i usually buy them from the local fish store...

If your going to use it just make sure that you rinse it really good. I used a sock for the first time a few weeks ago and I guess it had some kind of detergent or something from the manufactoring and it created a lot of micro bubbles and my skimmer lost all its foam for about 8 hours.

i don't use sock and tank is doing fine. I did in the past but it is too much work and money to have a sock on everytime.

I started using a mesh sock instead of the felt sock. With felt sock, I had to replace or clean it out every 2 weeks. The mesh sock does not trap and builup like the felt. I heard the buildup in the felt may not be good for the tank.

Hey Nick, I believe bulk reef supply sells them. But remember, they don't catch as much as the felt ones do....
