Hey guys,

I really need your help. My Neptune apex temp probe went out and no local fish stores carry them. If someone can be a life saver and let me borrow an extra one just till new one is delivered. Especially w this weather and temp probe controls a lot of my tank components. I really can use a hand.

Go to local store, buy a thermometer digital or regular. That should help you hold out till you buy a new one.

Out of curiosity, how did you know it went out and what did it do? This thread, and a similar personal experience, is why I have a hard time trusting my entire reef to a $500 controller that depends on a $30 temp probe. Hope you can find one quickly.

It's not the probe. It's weird how temp is at 19 degrees with the new probe. Any have the same issue? My apex was working fine for 2 years. Anyone can please help me ?

Did you try calibrating it through the Apex? It's not set to Celcius, right? Any water damage to your controller?

Vu Vu vu to the rescue. BIG shout out!!! He helped me update my firmware and that did the trick. I guess the modules needed updating and working good. I will be monitoring daily till I feel comfortable.
