hello everybody. i am a new member, i lived all over cali but now reside in Van nuys ca. i am completely new to reefs and hope to learn alot from you guys. i have freshwater planted tanks and will be starting a 20gallon reef tank as soon as i derim, and paint the stand im using. hope to meet alot of new people soon thanks.

thank you for the welcomes. knowing me i will probably upgrade to a larger tank within months haha. im gonna put up many pictures of my build once i get it going. might even sacrifice one of my FW tanks to fund this new adventure haha

Thanks, wow I haven't even started yet but I already want to upgrade and turn the 20 gallon into a sump haha

You see how quick the sickness sets in. In all seriousness go as big as possible now you will save money in the long run. Plus more water volume is better and easier to control

haha us freshwater guys call it the darkside. the 20 gallon and stand is a project im bringing back to life. talking to another scr member earlier, he already convinced me to upgrade. i have a 28 inch in length limitation for space, width and height is unlimited. exploring my options maybe a 50, or 34 gallon cube for a first time reef tank. my freshwater planted tanks already hate me ahah
