I actually think my heater turned on last night. It was kind of cold. But the other week, I think my tank got up to 79.5

Running the AC is sometimes more efficient than a chiller. Even if you keep the house at 82-84 your tank will stay below 80
Really? I keep my AC on at 79 and the tank has been running between 80-81.9.... you figure the tank would be slightly warmer than the room temp from the lights and pumps. At least that's what I would think and have been experiencing.

yep. agree with that. my ac is too cool the room to bring down the ambient room temp. if ambient room temp is so high i would not want to be in that garage. sometimes my garage is cooler then my house. hahahahaah wife says wtf

Ruffreef- where in the IE are you?

Im in a second floor (top floor) apartment in Riverside. It's hot as balls during the summer here and more evaporation just makes the apartment more humid and thus less hospitable.

I'm in Alta Loma, being on a second apartment would suck because you get all the heat and no insulation.

Combo of me leaving the shade open, which nails my tank with sunlight for 4 hours and me being cheap and setting the AC to 78f. Better now
