I just upped my photo period to 9 hours.
From 5pm-2am.With the cooler weather I
dont have to worry about heat issues

mine run 9-10hrs, with a 1.5 hour of VHO before and after.... dawn/dusk... the vho's are on all day. the run the icecap fans...

i could just switch the circuit they are on to run with the halides... but i like the vho's

Wow, really? That's cool! How long have you been doing that, and what corals?

I have the same lights, on icecaps, and run them 8 hours....perhaps I should shorten that?

I do have the actinics come on first with staggered lighting of the next icecap T5 ballast and then the halides. The halides are on about 7-8 hrs a day...and im not a cheater...im lazy. That controller is really the greatest thing i have ever bought for my aquarium, hands down.
