So Dino is really killing me even with h2o2 and 4 day black outs. So I'm going to shut down my tank after I come back from vacation this week. My question is how do I with the rocks? Do I let them bath in sun for few days bath & rinse in RO, or use bleach? So washing out My sand also killing everything and start from scratch.

If you want to completely nuke the rocks, I would do it this way:
1. Soak the rocks in bleach solution for a couple of days.
2. Rinse with tapwater, and soak again in tapwater for a day or two (save RO for later).
3. Blast the rocks with a garden hose to get all the dead matter and detritus out. Turn the rocks over and hit them from every possible angle.
4. Soak in RO water. You might need to replace the RO water and re-soak.
5. Air dry for a few days to make sure you really get all the bleach out.

It may be overkill but if you want to kill it anyway, then make sure it is really dead.

How much sand do you have? and what kind? Sometimes cleaning and reusing sand may end up being more trouble than starting with new dry sand.

I conquered dinoflagellates twice. Once was super bad. I did a couple things that actually worked. One was doing a large waterchange with Scripps water. By large I mean 75% of your water volume.

Research why Dino's are prevalent and you will learn that you stripped your tank clean. The other thing you need is to inoculate your tank with some positive bacteria. I would go as far as contacting Dr Tim or whomever the mad scientist is over there and ask him what would work. I took carbon off line. And most folks say you need to keep it on. I say BS.

If I could conquer Dino's anyone can. I'm talking clumps of goop all over my Sps. Some even got smothered and died. By chance did you use a lot of Gfo and do you use leds?

I think I started it with over feeding the coral. I have carb sea Bahamas fine sand, and arg in fuge. It's so going to be easier just to nuke the entire thing.

I would soak them in hot water to kill off things, and use garden hose or best use pressure washer to rinse the rock, sun dried for couple days, rinse again before use.

Sand: New dry sand is best, but you still can use your old sand, just need to rinse them a lot of time until water is clear. for sand in fuge, I would not reuse it cause it was time consume to rinse all those detrius out of it. I see Petsmart sell 30lb sugar agronite for $20.

Good luck for your Start over.

I'd try ditching the sand for new sand and dosing bacteria in a bottle first. Won't be overnight but wouldn't be surprised if it worked.
