This year MAX was ok, i don't think RAP Orlando has something to do with MAX low attendance. Imo poor advertisement was an issue this time, we feel lucky we didnt do MAX this year as vendor, however we had fun with friends and scored some really nice pieces

Who was selling the ff Flame acro?
The dudes with a booth straight up from the entrance. Their whole tank was RR and named pieces. They basically said everything in the tank was $200 and up(even stuff they didn't know the name of). They had some very nice grown out pieces. I almost pulled the trigger on few pieces...then I came to my senses.

Imagine that, a woman in SoCal with a pretty smile and ulterior motive to match.

These kinds of BS PR gimmicks are precisely the sort that stop me from spending at their stores.

I wonder if she got paid enough to actually align her left and right boobs correctly?

That was SEA REEF. They will be at the LARS frag swap as well.

personally I like buying coral in person because I dont trust the pictures online. These shows are the few times where i can see what the piece i am buying looks like. i dropped hundreds at Two guys corals and Shipwreck. I didn't know shipwreck rolled like that, they had some hidden gems. I picked up a sweet piece from some kids directly behind LARS. I forgot their name but the acro was green with very bright orange poylps. It wasn't named when I picked it up on friday during set up day but by sat afternoon they named it. Many of us SPS guys dropped some big cash so there is always a market for those who know what they want.

I don't think the Orlando show had any effect on MAX. I cannot imagine there being more than five out of staters trying to decide to fly to Orlando or MAX. I believe the show had very poor advertising and timing. There was so much going on this weekend.
The piece was from Legendary Corals and they named it the Blanka I believe, it was a spare of the moment thing lol

you don't know how mad i was... there was already some bad blood there... why stir it up....? there's a reason i don't stop at his booth and say hi... i'm just trying to stay away and not make a big deal out of it... but he went out of his way twice to "prank" me... i didn't grow up with silly people... i was raised around serious people... and if you "prank" some foo, you get dealt with...
