I purchased a PFO pendant fixture without a socket. I am coming close to starting my 70 gallon (30x30x18) upgrade. I am struggling to decide whether I should go with HQI or Mogul socket. I currently run a sunpod HQI 20K radium on my 38 gallon tank. I never used a mogul and so there is no way of comparing thru my experiences. I read online the difference and I have been getting mix information. I am posting this thread here because there are alot of knowledgeable reefers who has 20 plus years of experience with reefing. I believe this forum can help me decide on what light system will be the most efficient for me. My new tank will have softies and alittle sps. I know there are alot of factors to lighting but if you can just share the difference between HQI and Mogul and what are the pros and cons I would be very appreciative.
