day 3, nothing yet on the hog1
Lights are 18 hours? Do you have it under water, or with 1" above water?

The hog.5 doesn't hold to my sump. It's 3/8"
Easy fixes:

1. Tape the LED to the wall, and then the bubble side will only need to support itself. Or,
2. Slightly support the bubble tubing with something. Or,
3. Set the unit at the bottom of the sump. Or,
4. Get the add-on suction cups, and epoxy them on. Or,
5. Get the add-on extra magnets, and silicone them on. Or,
6. Use the unit for a another smaller tank instead.

Where can I find these add on magnets? I'll try that first. Are they stronger then the magnets that are on it now?

for the outside of the tank you may be able to use velcro tape. that how I had my fuge light on my old nano tank

now that i have mine on the timer i have filled in the spot in the middle of the screen. gonna try to up the hours to 12 a day

I have used a few different timers. this is the one i like the best. i use the same kind for my DT lights. i picked it up on ebay for 5 bucks

yeah I seeded mine its coming along. still not ready to be cleaned yet, but I had to clean the glass in front of it

What bigger one, I thought Santa Monica stuff was all the same size, the new one has stronger magnet and new surface for algae growth and two vs one led. But it's not larger
Hmm well the one I have is 2 LEDs, but it only has the screen, yours has a different material. I wonder why the other model is $150 ?

update....starting to get real hair algae on my screen. im so happy, not ready to clean it yet. but its coming along
