Maybe next year they will know not to charge $29 for one day exhibit only. I usually bring my wife with me who has no interest in coral/fish so now we are talking almost $60 to get in.
It looks like they learned by sunday but honestly dought they would be back next year.

i even heard one say that we are the toughest crowd to motivate unless the stuff is free...not a good rap to have.
So sad but so true.

Paul, it was great to finally get a chance to meet and talk with you on Sunday. Hope to see you at CFM. Can I place a pre-order before CFM, and just pick it up at the show ? Thanks again for the frag !

sure thing!

I think that Kevin has the wrong idea on the booths, I know as a farmer I could never afford a booth at 1000$, and even with RAP it was very hard to pull off the cost of the booth. I know the venue is expensive, but maybe they need to rethink the venue...

Ya I would be going to MAX too if it was cheaper for me. There should be an actual "Hobbyist/farmer" booth again. I don't think it's fair to charge a local hobbyist the same price as a Hugh Company for the same vendor booth. Maybe $250. booth but not $1000... We'll see.

I wouldn’t call it greed since it’s a business, guys like Kevin don’t do this to not make a profit. They are the ones that take the risk of it turning out like IMAX so they need to make it worth while.….

By the way any other vendors attending Super Zoo this year?? I may head out that way and make it a small vacation.

problem with so cal is, that if you dont have the people selling the frags and the other live stuff, you wont get the people. Most farmers cant afford a grand for a booth. No matter what anyone thinks, the draw is the farmers. You can see all the products at the stores or online...but you cant get the good frags all the time save the shows.

We unfortunately could not include hobby booths in our floor plan for a variety of logistical reasons, however that is not to say that two (or even three) hobby sellers couldn't go in together on a 10'x10' booth and split the costs. We want to accomodate everyone however it is very difficult given the size of the Marine Aquarium Expo. We are certainly open to suggestions though.

thanks

I certainly hope not as it would be very unfair for those who has committed early on.
Someone found this out the hard way last year and started slandering the show instead, in retaliation. I was embarrassed for them, but what can you do? We simply try harder and harder to bring you guys a better show every year. That is our main focus and concentration.
