actually looks pretty cool with the lights up. Almost has that lava lamp effect. Nice!
Thanks man. So far the lid is not getting that hot at 75% power. If I pump them all the way up I can start really feeling the head on the lid which I was hopping for as another way to cool those heat sinks. Now only if I did not toast the one any only Cool White LED it would be ready for a water change and some aquascaping. So far I am thinking about putting some Orange Blow Pops, Star Polyps, and maybe some Sunny D's in there. All depends on what I start fragging this week from my display tank.

Ok ordered a new CW LED and 2lb of dried rock rubble for the Aquascaping. Going to pull the live rock I have in it now out tonight as it has aphasia all over it I noticed. Vinegar bath the whole jar and then restart it since I still have the ability to do that without bulling corals out of it. I'll seed it again with my display tanks water again.

I'm not sure how much research you've done. I came across this sometime ago. This guy has been doing tiny reefs for years. If you check out his youtube channel, somewhere there is a way to contact him and he, apparently, has no problem answering questions. He's got a fully sealed "1 gal." sps tank in this video.

So I was thinking that pump takes up so much of that jars space. Couldnt you hook up hoses to the input and output of the pump and keep it outside of the jar?

I was thinking again. (Yes dangerous bizniz I know) with a stronger pump you could hook in an old reactor to use as a refugium. If its all sealed shouldnt be an issue.

That would be cheating ;) and I am putting this at my desk at work when it's done so it needs to be presentable.

There is actually a much smaller pump out there I am looking at but know one locally had it in stock. I am actually thinking of just keeping it and allowing my corals to grow all over it. Mill just have to frag them all if it fails.

Thanks again for the video. He helped me with my heat issue. Put my first test frag in it last night. Let's see how it goes.

Finished the LED lighting last night and added some rock rubble I got from BRS. Everything is coming together.

This photo has the lights at 25-50%

I have some bad news. I've been struggling to keep the temp down in this thing so for the time being I've decided that I have to many SW projects going on right now and have broke the tank down and set it aside for a later time. I'll keep this post updated if anything changes. Thanks for all your help and I'll start it back up hopefully before the end of the year. Need to do a lot of research to do before then.

I'll stay tuned for the beer pitcher build.
