That was my first thought, then I saw the Krakatoas posted. How long do they have to be in captivity to be called home grown? That's a fine line... say when the zoa pops a nub? Or the maricultured stick encrusts?
I guess that Krakatoa convo is more for guys who concentrate on turning a profit or are polyp enthusiasts. IMHO say if they are commanding a large price because they are proven (non melters/rare) then sell away. But if they are coming in waves to GG area and to my hood then why would anyone pay so much for them.
I think needless to say lets say captive over a year would be a good quantitative measuring stick. If it pops a baby could just mean it's trying not to die. And all the lighting variables haven't been established. I bought some cool name
Polyps a year ago at 40$+ a head and they were FO the plane. They don't grow well,
Don't show well and really now they look like crap. Glad the dude is a nice guy or else I'd rape him verbally given the opportunity.
Rare and high end are synonymous in this hobby. I think we can use our best discretion as consumers and posters to do our best to keep this thread "legit." Mods feel free to cut up my rambling. With light moderation this threads sales content will stay "high end." Easy as moving their pic and sale back to the regular sale forum where it belonged.
Sps wise I consider as "higher" end and deserving of this sub forum. All
