Is 1/2" plumbing too small for a missing station?

I have this very curved barrel in planning in tapping w a uniseal. In order to get it low enough and on a somewhat flattish part ..I'm thinking of going 1/2 " instead of one inch. To do bigger would mean going up barrel almost 25% :/
Yes.. I could go 3/4 , but honestly I ordered a bunch of 1" and 1/2 uniseals.. Not to mention the hole saws for only those sizes. Got no 3/4" and sick of all these holdups in this build.
Would 1/2" take like an eternity to fill 5g jugs and to do 25g wc directly to tank about 35ft away by hose?
Will I have issue later when I plumb the barrels together and use a pump to transport to tank.. Like pump fitting , valves etc?

Am sitting here w drill in hand , and cursing the DIY gods.. Any input?

I feel like putting the 1" uniseal on the curved bottom ( 4" from bottom) will be too big to get a good seal on the curve. Didn't think this barrel through since now I see that any thing I plumb on bottom is going to come out at a downward angle , and I'm worried about the weight of pvc and turning a ball valve etc. will screw up the uniseal bond ..

What if on the inside of the barrel you put a 45 degree fitting so that it'll drain from the bottom of the barrel?

I'll be useful gravity to fill jugs etc.. I'm assuming it will leave 25-30% unused. I'll be able to throw a pump and hose into top for Water changes. But small wc on sh tank and ato fill up will be gravity ..

if it was me I would just do the 1" down as low as you want. the uniseals are pretty tight once you push the pvc through them. if it works then great! if not then my account was hacked and I take no responsibility for anything.

How about putting the hole underneath? You could drill a hole through the plywood too

Did I showed you how I did mine? I added a .5" bulkhead on top. Placed a pump inside with clear tube to the top, on the outside I did an elbow with ball valve to open/close when I turned on the pump. (then just buy a very long hose to the inside of your house" I did the same for both 55 gallons containers. If I even needed FW to mix, just use a small hose to connect both containers. Hope it make sense...

Shouldn't be an issue as long as what you're trying to fill is lower than the reservoir. Just like siphoning water out of the tank

Lol :) thanks, but I'll have then sitting in metal water heater stands.. Not tall enough to fill jugs

So if the piece on inside has elbow and reaches bottom , it will gravity siphon to the bottom? Idk why I thought it wouldn't work like that.. Would just opening the ball valve create a siphon though? Even once water level dropped below elbow?

So to make sure I understand correctly lol
I will be able to empty barrel w the elbow extension inside .. By only opening ball valve and not using a pump?

My mind cannot wrap around why the barrel would empty using the elbow and no pump .. Once the water dropped below the level of the elbow..

The water would need to be above the elbow in order for the siphon to start

Ok , I'm not crazy .. I thought so lol
So my only option aside from drilling low with 1/2" Pvc ( which will come out pointing downward :/ ) is to drill one inch pvc and sacrifice being able to fully empty without a pump ..
Stupid of me not to realize this curved bottom was gonna but me on the 'curved bottom'

With the water level starting above the elbow there will be no air in the elbow or pvc running down inside the pipe, so when you keep letting the water flow out the siphon would cause the water to keep flowing even if the water level is below the elbow because inside the elbow is still air free.
