It works very slowly though. Unless you clean often, when the algae is built-up for a while, it takes me a long time to get the stuff off the acrylic. When Dan mentioned "Melamine polymer" I jumped on his comment right away but I am not sure fast mean scratching or not....

I wonder who the first person to try it was thinking. It seems so soft I wouldn't think that it would work and would have never thought about it if it had not been already known
