It's been fun....

Turns out my power went out last weekend while I was out of town... Came back to soup.. Everything is dead sans some snails. I've been reefing close to 10 years and this is the first crash, even mild, that I've ever had. Really hurts.

In lieu of this, I will be taking an extended break. At least until I finish grad school. I'll post my hardware FS once it's clean.

I feel really bad for all the organisms that died. I failed them all

sucks buddy... i have been thru a similar crash, but not a reef tank... an african rift tank... my room stank... you see the tank, but it's like you're numb for a while looking at it... then slowly, it all sinks in and there are all kinds of feelings that go on in your head...

i feel for you man... take a break... 10 years... yikes... you deserve it... and don't worry about the inhabitants... yeah it does suck, but in the end, they're just fish/corals...

True dat Gumbii, but I can't help but feel like I murdered everyone in my tank. I've had the same RBTA for like 8 years, I might have been more attached to that than my cat, haha

I know what that feels like, dont give up on it just yet. I was about ready to exit the hobby, but thanks the support of the SCR members im slowly making my way back. Give it a few weeks sorry for the loss. Good luck in the future
