Seems like your getting a lot of green out of your acros. I had the same problem when I switched to 100% led. Doesn't mean they aren't healthy, doesn't mean they won't grow, BUT add a couple t5s and you can thank me later.

That's in the works. I was gonna mod my light for that, but was running into depth issues, but now that I'm going to a 180 with Steve's old tank, I'm def running 4 t5 with the leds

Why do you think the t5 will make that much of a difference though?

When you WB your camera, do you take a picture of the white or gray card and then apply that setting to your camera when you're taking the picture? I've never really played with WB.

no, i do it in post. i set the camera WB to 10k, and then snap a shot of the gray card, and then set a WB preset in lightroom.

then i can just assign the WB to batches of photos.. :)

Thanks. I've got a lot to learn about Lightroom.
When you take a picture of the gray card, is the card in the area of where you're taking the picture or do you just snap a pic of the gray outside the tank?

The card needs to be in the tank at approximately the same area of the photo with the same lighting.

It's one of those "ask me how I know" things. Hahhaha. After I took out my "full spectrum" colored LEDs, I added 2-80w t5s, and within a few weeks colors started improving. After a couple months, I added 2 more 80w t5s, and then it was on like donkey kong. I was getting good growth and amazing colors. Oh then I got acro eating flat worms. waaah wahhh wahhhhhhh. :/

Nice corals oredith. Would you mind if shnitz posted pics of his skimmer on your thread? I knew you wouldn't, you're a peach. Hey shnitz can we see pics of your skimmer in action here? Oredith doesn't mind.

No silly. I dont need to know how much you paid for it since I know it cost more than my entire system entirely. And I know its worth even more when the bubble plate is placed correctly.

Did you mention "in action?" Because I'm not sure we have seen it in action yet lol
