Great to hear Confuse. So I finally got a chance to check out oceanmarine new shop on sunday and it's just as nice if not nicer than their last location in glendora. Willie and Sonia run a clean shop I told them how noah and your moorish idols are still doing great. They also had a nice small purple tang in qt along with a few other fish.
Glad you got a chance to stop by! I'm probably gonna make a run for some live brine. This Potter's Angel I got from DD refuses to eat.

How's your Idol doing?

Good, still kicking.
Cool man! Looks like we hit the right spot!

Willie just ran out on sunday, said he was going to start a new culture either yesterday or today so call and find out when they will be ready. My idol is good...finally eating pellets after I tried 5 other foods. Will continue trying other food.

Bump this old thread! My Moorish Idol is doing great (I hope I don't jynx it by saying that)! It eats anything I throw at it. And I've made it my mission to feed it nori daily because it just goes to town on it. It also hasn't touched any coral I have in the tank. Overall, it's been about three and a half months since I've had him. I hope he continues to do well. He's by far my favorite fish in the tank and everyone that sees the tank is drawn to him. I'm very lucky to have found a healthy specimen.

Congrats once again. Seems like you hit the mother load not once but twice with the MI and the Regal. Lucky dude.

Got him from Pacific Reef in Torrance and the only reason I bought him was because he was eating aggressively at the store. It was definitely an impulse buy. He spent 6 weeks in QT and continued to eat well and thankfully when I introduced him to my DT, my tangs took to him with open arms.

That's awesome dude. Mine was an impulse buy too when I saw him eat mysis. My tangs surprisingly left mine alone due to it's size, although he's not much bigger or fatter than my purple. My regal on the other hand was getting punked by the tangs, however. But now all of that subsided. I was too afraid to QT my MI, so I put him straight into the display. I honestly feel like I just got lucky though. Haha I mean, beyond trying every food possible, I have no advanced methods of keeping this fish. It ate pellets after a few weeks, but I owe a lot to the guy I got him from, which was Ocean Marine Sales.

Btw mike, is that an old clay pot by the dendro or a rock that looks like one? Have always wanted to add an old clay pot for that sunken treasure and artifacts effect...looks sweet in your tank

Any of the MI you guys have eating corals???
No, not yet (knock on wood). Mine is pretty actively picking at the rocks. I'm feeding more now though

It's a barnacle from cerameco.

It's funny. When you gave me my last polyp, I got a report from the site telling me all the positive rep I received on my posts. And I got two negative reps from somebody...One was for a comment I made about wicked's semen being the secret ingredient in wickedfeast and another when I was talking about Bubble King. Haha

Hater's gonna hate. =P

Not mine. But I do feed heavy and don't have much coral other than LPS. It won't even eat the sponge I put there for it to eat. Just frozen and pellets.
I'm still debating on putting this on in my DT??? Only eats nori and graze all day
