Tank is 1" thick. It has center overflow maggie muffler drain w/ 4 center loc line returns hooked up to an ocean motions wavemaker. The original owner had a check valve connected to the return. Never used a check valve before, but I'm gonna give it a try. I plan on using a battery back up for the return pump or add a safety tank/reservoir under the tank if space allows.

I'll take pics once the sump area is completed. I tried adding water yesterday but I discovered a leak in some of the original plumbing. :(

Now that I think about it. I'll most likely raise the loc line up higher and ditch the check valve. Anyone have any spare 3/4" loc line?

nice light fixture and rimless cube. I would still stick with a check valve and raise the returns higher. Always better to be safe then sorry.

Subscribed!! What return pump are you using? I'm setting up a similar tank next month.
My initial plan was to use a water blaster 7000, but I found a good deal on an ocean runner 6500 (1700gph). I've used ocean runner return pumps (2500 and 3500) on some my previous tanks and I was very happy with them. The 2500 and 3500 are super quiet, the 6500 does have a little hum but it does push quite a bit more water than the smaller models. I also have eductors attached to each return.

Is the Ocean runner going to be your only pump or are you adding more pumps n power heads ?

No new updates at the moment. Still addressing a few small issues before I can start stocking the tank. I raised the 4 return lines closer to the water surface with some pvc and couplers, but I don't like how it looks. I'm gonna lower them to their previous level and just add a check valve.

Also still trying to decide how I want to hang up my lighting. My initial plan was to bend some conduit pipping over the tank so I can swivel the light out of the way if the tank needs some type of maintenance. Or just hang it from the ceiling.

So I ended up selling the sfiligoi mh/t5 fixture because I lost the few sps colonies that I had during the tank transfer. Gonna do mainly zoa, rics, mushrooms, lps for now. I want to try out (2) Kessil a350w. Anyone try them out yet?
