Aren't those LED strips for supplemental lighting? I don't think they are strong enough to grow corals. I say sell them and buy the ReefBreeders Value fixture. For $150 you cant go wrong and spend the rest of the money on more zoos.

you should get your par reading first before you go out and buy new lights zoa's dont really need that much light run your blues high white tend to close them up and get some flow. its not about just the light I have seen zoas grow in alot of conditions. I say test your water may add another power head and if you can get a par reading around 200 @ 24" then any LPS will grow the only time you need great par and strong light is with some SPS ask your local fish store or a fish club (this is why clubs r good) do go out and buy Lights like radions that most people use at 45% that means the light is to strong. keep your light get it tested

So I should sell those and the aquatic life LEDs and buy a value fixture
how long has the zoas been in your system? Do you see the body of the zoas stretching out further? That's usually indication that it needs more light.

The partially closed habits can be a light issue or also and irritation issue. when i had zoa eating nudibranch and micro nudis (size of a sand grain), my zoa's skirt would do that. I've woken up in the early mornings often where there is light some ambient light from the eminent sunrise and notice my zoas and palys fully open, inflated and extended.

back to light, hexagon tanks are fairly deep. Sounds like your 3 LED strips that I assuming is not using optics so depth penetration might be insufficient. Upgrading to a concentrated LED panel type light will help better light penetration, especially since the bargain ones don't normally have optics.

60* optics on those strips. And 72w per strip is a lot of led lighting.

IMO I think ur lighting is sufficient. If u were talking SPS, It might be a little on the low side. But they might be fine, even for most SPS

Grab a par meter for sure but I think its more to do with your tank being 30" deep and the lack of spread those strips are going to provide.

60* optics typically penetrate pretty good.

I didn't see it was a 30". I thought it said 24". For clams or light hungry Lps at the bottom of ur tank, that might not be strong enough. :/
