So, right now I'm running a LEDgroupbuy.com diy 3w cree setup over my 180-72". The fixtures got 42RB, 36CW, and 12 hyper violet. I'm not getting the color and pop I want. Everything grows great, but the water color and pop to the color isn't there. I have a kessil a150w 15k sump frag section and the color is awesome on the corals and fish. I'm open to all options of led setups. Price is set around 1600 max. I want full spectrum. We saw the reef lounge leds which have great color, but would like to be able to program the fixture for sunrise/set. We are leaning towards g2 radions as all the reviews seem to be great, but some people say they wouldn't buy them again. Is there a better fixture out there? Whats your guys experiences? Opinions?

I really don't want to mess with the fixture itself or add to it, only to still not be happy with up and upgrade later. In hindsight, I should have went with a higher end fixture first, but my current fixture only cost me 800 to build. It gets the job done, as growth is great, just not as appealing to the eye as I would like. The color is almost like a 12k hqi. Since my current fixture is in 3-24" sections, i may use them on my frag section and sell the 150w. Anyone have experience with radions? Hydras? Any other decent led fixtures? What is everyone running in their tanks? Thanks in advance.

There's so many options. I don't want to make a mistake. What were you running on your tank?
6x80 watt ati power module and 120 leds around it. The 6x80 was enough for the entire tank. The sides suffered a tiny bit but the leds washed out the coloration on stags and Millie's.

Well, I pulled the trigger and threw the budget out the window. Just picked up my new gen 3 radion pro's. Now to see what all the hypes about.

Damnnnnn BALLINN. Lol

that's sweet man. I'm sure those are gunna work out great. DIY LEDs can be 50/50. Some people really like them, and some people end up hating them. U probably did the right thing. If I could have afforded putting Radions over my tank, I would have done it.

Nice... I just picked up a gen2 pro and it is a beast of fixture... Make sure to acclimate your stuff because they put out a lot of light

Now I'm forced to finish my tank and build a canopy. I will try and take some before/after pics of colors. Schnitzel, I went with a DIY fixture first because I couldn't justify spending that much money on lights to the wife. Now she's super hooked on buying coral, she was telling me to upgrade, lol. I got a sick deal on the lights, too good to pass up. I'm going to keep the DIY fixture I have now, but break it down to 2-12" for my frag section in the sump. Not sure what I'm going to do with the rest of it.
