Nick was right about switching to a calcium reactor from a doser. I had issues with the co2 escaping (user error) wasn't tightening the nut down enough. But now it's been rocking since July without a single tap, mod or anything.
The hardest part is dialing in the gas amount and knowing how many bubbles and drops per second.
I haven't tested my water since some time in July. Tested the parameters today and it's like getting straight A's without trying, CA 420, MG 1580, AlK 8.1. My magnesium is high because I like not having nuisance algae.
Now if I can only figure out how to make the LE's grow faster. Zoas grow like weeds in my tank but named sticks that I like are soooooooo slow. It's always the sticks no one wants that grow like weeds.
