In 2009, A well known LFS owner from the SF Bay Area, was caught transporting 52 Clipperton Angelfish from French Clipperton Atolls 800 miles west of Acapulco. He recently pleaded guilty and will receive up to 1 year in jail plus up to $100,000 in fines.

Let's face it, everyone in SoCal knows someone who knows someone who can "get stuff" (illegal fish & inverts), but don't do it! Its bad for the environment and makes us all look bad.

I'm upset these frogs have any territory close to my land period! Thanks for the geographical history lesson.

Let me spit out this Bourdeux!

That's unfortunate to hear. I'm glad he got caught and hopefully the lesson is heeded by other smugglers and consumers. You're right that the responsibility is also on us as the consumers to mitigate this issue!
