Today bored at home and tired of having my zoas and frogs look all washed out , not color almost bleach, I have LED'S but only few blues so the tank is crisp white,I have some eagle eyes , some palys fire and ice, others don't know what they are, today I found a plastic bag from my son's bday party to put candy's for give away and it is "deep blue" yes blue, and very thin, so I taped it to the inside cover of my nano dx (plastic part) and "WOW" EVERYTHING POP AS HAVING A GOOD SET OF ACTINIC LIGHTS my boy is WOW DAD my wife is WOW. Just to confirm this is no to replace or to substitute the benefits of having actinic light , "but it worked" Now I am getting some blue/magenta lights soon thanks to my experiment ha ha LOL excuses !!!
Anybody else has done some experiments with their tanks when bored just to see the results.

reminds me of the lowrider crowd... if they had a green car, they would put green surran (sp?) wrap over their headlamps...

To be honest I don't know how it will affect PAR this paper is super thin, but if you give a try just to play around you'll be surprise on the effect.
gumbii knows the trick is old school ha!! I remember doing this when having a party in the barrio and putting paper on light bulbs for color LOL
