Go to it local pet shop and ask if u can get a few dead gold fish. Put them in a nylon bag. When u have a bag of bones ur tank is done cycling.

Welcome to the forum. Charger! In general, the hobby has moved away from using live fish to cycle tanks. It's inhumane. dead shrimp, ammonia, etc can be used.

Oh ok thanks for the good advice and was just asking since I've seen people getting rid of things they diddent want since just starting out was all but if you say that a dead goldfish would work I might try that then and after that what would be a good next step?

Welcome, from one Omar to another! This community is full if generous people giving stuff away but generally that happens once you've taken some time to introduce yourself and build rapport. If there's one close, join a reef club...lots of great info and people.

Tell us about your setup and what you want to put in the tank. Pics always help too.

I would just go to Ralph's and get one dead **** tail shrimp. That will be cheap and easy... No one gets hurt!

That's the funniest edit I have ever seen!

I did the shrimp thing too. One small one is more than enough. But definitely people are praising the Dr Tim's stuff.

Even easier, you can just use a fresh or frozen shrimp from your local grocery store. If you buy a package of them, you can later use them to feed fish etc in your tank by cutting them up into tiny pieces.

Ok sounds good then I think just adding some shrimp would be simple enough and how long dose it take to dissolve the shrimp?
